Woodside and Maple Ridge Farm Staff Cindy Daniels
Cindy has loved working with horses since she was young. As a child she begged and begged her parents for a horse. They finally relented, buying her a mare named Topsy that they bought for $ 75.00 and paid for on time. She has been training horses and teaching riders for over 30 years. She started her professional career with Johnny and Diane Johnson of Sterling Stables. She loves helping her horses and riders develop together, whether they are serious horse show competitors or riding just for fun. In her spare time she loves going on challenging hikes with her two dogs and spends time every week exploring the Olympic peninsula.
Lisa Petersen
Lisa has been Woodside Stables' professional rider and teacher for over ten years. A recent winner of the USHJA State and National Professional Affiliate Award, Lisa has been riding since she was five years old. As a junior rider, she excelled in the hunters and equitation divisions, always catch riding different ponies and horses. In her spare time she enjoys working on her recently purchased home and running with her dog, Max.
Sara has been volunteering at Woodside Stables since the beginning and decided to join Cindy and Lisa full time three years ago. She previously rode for other top hunter and jumper barns in the Pacific Northwebringing with her over 10 years of experience as a professional. Sara also rides professionally and teaches lessons part time at Parkside Stables in Bellevue, WA. Sara is a 2009 Board member for the Washington State Hunter Jumper Association. She spends most of her spare time with her husband, Ryan, and their dog, Holly.
Ellen Anderson
Ellen is the owner of Maple Ridge Farm as well as the stable manager. She worked for several years managing Meadow Wood Farm, a large breeding facility in Monroe, WA. When she moved to Kingston she worked for local equine veterinary practices previous to building Maple Ridge Farm. She is dedicated to staying up to date on equine nutrition to assure top quality care for every horse at the farm. In her spare time she enjoys working out and spending time with her husband and her two sons.
